About
I have always enjoyed creating things. Some of those things are digital, some are physical, and some are just moments in time with a special group of people that you don't appreciate until much later as being unique. Here are a sampling of those things that have contributed to my experiences and formed me as an older and wiser person.
Career Journey

My professional journey has taken me through various fields, including crafting professional flutes, front-end web development, UX design, and team management. The common thread amongst these is problem solving. I have learned significantly from both my successes and mistakes, which have shaped my approach to design (and life).
Archery
At one point a friend mentioned that she bought a bow and was shooting archery. She explained more about it and soon I was hooked and spending every spare moment at the range. I've competed in many national events and 2 Olympic team trials. I'm now a level 4 certified coach and have a custom bow string business I started in 2019.

Glassblowing
Turns out molten glass, while dangerous, is an amazing substance and after an introductory class I spent about a decade learning more about it. I quickly started teaching my own classes at Seattle Glassblowing Studio and at Pratt Fine Arts Center and spent a number of years volunteering at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA.
Axe Throwing
I'm a horrific axe thrower. Seriously, I could not be worse at this if I tried. By all means don't let me near an axe for the safety of myself, nearby spectators, and those in the next county alike.

But really, there is no photo of my having successfully thrown an axe and it stuck in a wall.
